The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District will host its second annual “One Voice, One Message” Super Hero 5K Run/Walk this spring.
The event will take place on April 16, at 9 a.m., starting and ending at Grand Avenue Middle School. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

The school district’s student ambassadors are organizing the race, and this year’s theme is super heroes. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes.

“All six schools within the district will be a part of this worthwhile cause to unite the district through community service,” said Dr. Mara Bollettieri, assistant superintendent of personnel.

Registration is $20 per person. Proceeds will benefit Plan International, an organization that helps to provide clean drinking water to developing countries.
