On Feb. 26, students in Christen Visceglie’s Italian 4H and AP classes had the pleasure of taking part in a unique presentation that focused on traditional and contemporary Italian music.

David Setteducati, a member of a Neapolitan music group, visited the classes to play and sing traditional Italian songs. Students gave brief presentations before each song and sang along. Setteducati provided additional commentary in Italian throughout his presentation.

Meredith White, an emcee who works in Italy with popular musicians, followed the traditional presentation with an Italian discussion involving contemporary music and singers. White discussed and shared songs that are popular in Italy. A student-led question and answer session concluded the activities and provided students with an opportunity to share their thoughts about Italian music.
