Calhoun High School’s Department of World Languages held its annual honor society induction ceremony on May 17, recognizing students of French, Italian and Spanish.

The event was organized by language teachers Nikole DeLuca, Alexandra Kefaliakos, Cara Sycoff and Keryn Thienachariya.

“Audience members were treated to musical performances and poetry recitations in French, Spanish and Italian,” said World Languages Chairperson Enrique Montes.

Students were presented with their certificates of excellence by each language honor society adviser. In his speech to inductees, Montes spoke about his journey as a language learner and encouraged students to continue reaching for excellence.
