Calhoun, Kennedy Takes Home High Awards at LI Science Congress

The Long Island Science Congress recently hosted its annual award ceremony to honor the top 25 percent of the students who competed in the event.  

More than 2,000 students competed in the event and several Kennedy and Calhoun high school students were recognized during the award ceremony.  

Calhoun’s Jacob Miller took home an honors award, while seniors Nicole Fegan, Louis Lin and Rachel November took home high honor awards. Kennedy’s Melissa Himelfarb, Alexia Tilman and Amanda Steinberg also earned high honors. Maxmilian Bazil, Anna Kuznetsova, Jennifer Rakhimov and Michael Sternbach earned highest honors in addition to receiving special awards that carried $50 cash prizes.
