Members of the Grand Avenue Middle School Yorker Club recently embarked on their annual field trip to Wickham’s Farm in Cutchogue.

Students picked apples and pumpkins after touring the apple cider press and green houses. They learned about the history of one of the oldest farms on the island.

“The Wickham family farm has been part of the Long Island landscape since the 1600s,” said social studies teacher and club adviser Dominik Bargiel. “This Colonial-era farm provides the students a unique perspective of the culture, landscape and agriculture of the east end of Long Island.”
