HONOR SOCIETY REQUIREMENTS
 
Students who attain high academic standards, fulfill community service requirements, participate in clubs or activities, and demonstrate appropriate character and behavior will be eligible for Honor Society in May of their 8th grade year. Any out-of-school suspension will exclude students from the society. In order to achieve membership in Honor Society, the following requirements must be met:

90% average for each marking period of 7th grade and the each of the first three marking periods of 8th grade

OR

92% cumulative average for all of 7th grade and the first three marking periods of 8th grade combined

AND

participated in at least one extracurricular activity each year

AND

performed at least ten hours of community service and handed in the Community Service Form and cards by April 1st of 8th grade

7th Grade and 8th Grade Community service cards may be obtained from the Main Office. Seventh graders must return them to Mr. Fields in room 214. Eighth graders should do the same and return them to Mr. Abbott in room 201. These cards must be returned with the community service form which will be stamped at the time of submission. Cards and the Community Service Form will be collected between March 11 to March 22, 2013.

Eligible students will given an Honor Society Club & Activity Report to document participation in Grand Avenue activities in both 7th and 8th grade. This form must be submitted to Mr. Abbott by the posted due date.

ABSOLUTELY NO LATE COMMUNITY SERVICE FORMS OR HONOR SOCIETY CLUB & ACTIVITY REPORTS WILL BE ACCEPTED
