At Bellmore Merrick Central High School District our vision of the technologically rich school environment of the future is one that provides increased opportunities for students to take a more active role in their learning. Technology will enable students to enhance their problem solving and higher order thinking skills. Students will be actively engaged in a variety of learning tasks that are authentic, challenging, and multidisciplinary. Student achievement will be assessed through tasks that measure student progress towards meeting or exceeding local, state, and national goals. The realization of this vision will require input from students, teachers, parents, administration, and the community. We believe technology is a powerful learning tool that will help every student in the Bellmore Merrick Central High School District learn to their greatest potential.
