On behalf of my entire staff, I would like to welcome you to the John F. Kennedy High School website. This site is designed to provide you with the most up-to-date information on our school, our students, and parent organizations. Kennedy High School offers our students a challenging academic program, as well as a solid athletic and co-curricular program. At Kennedy, there are 48 interscholastic teams and 28 clubs that help to develop our students' talents and leadership skills. We encourage all students to get involved, and we welcome parents and community members to join us at our athletic events, concerts, and drama productions. Furthermore, we encourage all students to get involved in community service projects through their classes, teams, clubs, and Senior Experience Program.
Kennedy continues to be recognized in Newsweek's listing of America's Best High Schools based on the number of students enrolled in AP courses. In addition to our varied elective courses, we offer special programs, including Virtual Enterprise in the Business Department, Gilder Lehrman Program in the Social Studies Department, Advanced Science Research in the Science Department, and Project Lead The Way, a technology and engineering program. Our students continue to win awards in all areas and are accepted to the most prestigious colleges and universities in the country. We are extremely proud of what our students and staff accomplish together.
