Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District participates
in the Choose Sensibly campaign. This campaign is a proactive approach
to applying the dietary guidelines to snack & drink purchases.
It recognizes the role of the consumer in school, the value of education
and information to help make informed choices and follows dietary
guidelines to choose foods to support good health. It also recognizes
some foods are better nutritional choices. Encourage your child
to read nutrition labels and look for the Choose Sensibly snack
carts and clips denoting the better snack & drink choices.
Ala-carte breakfast offerings are available at the
high schools.
