Morgan Tesser, a senior at Kennedy High School, will play for the Israeli Women’s U18 National Softball Team this summer at the European Championship in Prague.

Tesser is one of eight American women selected to represent Israel and has also been playing for the Cougars softball squad since eighth grade.

While she plays third base for the Israeli team, Kennedy coach Krista Thorn has her at shortstop.

“She’s had to put in double the amount of time into this sport than others,” Thorn added. “There’s a lot of determination just to get a little bit better for this player. She’s a pleasure to be around and leads by example in her work ethic.”

Tesser is slated to travel to Israel mid-June to obtain her dual citizenship, also known as Aliyah, followed by training with the team.

She will also participate in the Triple Crown International Challenge in Denver, Colorado at the end of June. Tesser will attend Bryant University in the fall on a softball scholarship.
