During the July 14 Board of Education meeting, the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District Board of Education appointed Edward Corona as president and Nina Lanci as Vice President. Both Board members were sworn into their roles by district clerk Pattianne Guccione, promising to fulfill their duties to the Board and the community over the next 12 months.
The meeting also marked Michael Harrington’s first as Superintendent of Schools. He thanked 2020-2021 Board president Gina Piskin for her work over the past year and offered congratulations to both Mr. Corona and Ms. Lanci on their appointments. He also began the meeting by reflecting on the difficulties of the past year and thanking the community and district staff for their hard work to make the year a success.
