Isabelle Sivin, a sophomore Kennedy High School, is one of 24 female soccer players chosen across the country to represent the United States delegation at the 2022 Maccabi Games as a member of the Women’s U16 team.

The Maccabi Games are a celebration of Jewish unity, culture, and heritage through athletic competition. The United States is one of 80 countries competing across 39 sports with more than 10,000 athletes.

Coach Christine DeFilippo noted that the two-year starter on Kennedy’s girls soccer team “brings a calm and composed aura to the field.”

“She has the ability to play both sides of the ball, take players on offensively and distribute the ball from the midfield,” added DeFilippo, who is also a special education teacher. “She has been a starter since her freshman year and is an integral part of our team's success.

Sivin will be traveling with the United States to Israel next summer to complete in the 2022 summer games.

“We know that she will bring that same success to the United States U16 team. The team and coaching staff are so excited to cheer her on and support her on this journey,” added assistant coach Helmut Schleith.
