Budget Passes – A Message from the Superintendent of Schools John DeTommaso
On behalf of myself, the Board of Education and the entire Bellmore-Merrick educational community, we wish to thank the residents who participated in the 2016-17 budget vote and trustee election.
We appreciate your support every day, but especially today as the district’s budget passed by a vote of 3,116 to 1,135!
Additionally, voters approved Proposition 2 for the establishment of a capital reserve fund. That proposition passed by a vote of 3,228 to 996.
As always, the entire staff in the BMCHSD will continue to strive for excellence both inside and out of the classroom to help our students maximize their educational experience and opportunities.
