The Department of World Languages involved the entire Grand Avenue Middle School community in this year’s Foreign Language Week activities.
Students decorated the auditorium lobby with collages of pictures of themselves in different countries and representing food and clothing from many countries.
“The department asked students to read daily announcements in different languages, held a trivia contest and bake sale and invited students and staff to pin the countries they have visited on a map,” said Renée Fallon World Languages Chairperson.
The entire building also took part in a vote for the best poster in the district-wide World Languages poster contest.
