Bellmore-Merrick’s One Voice, One Message Run Set for March 24

The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District, through their Young Ambassadors program, will host its fourth annual 5K Run/Walk, with all proceeds benefitting GiveKindness.

“GiveKindness is an organization that promotes acceptance and tolerance,” explained Robyn Einbinder, race co-organizer and social studies chairperson. “The race will benefit GiveKindness and the Community Cupboard, the district's food pantry which feeds hungry families within our community.” 

The “One Voice, One Message” One Run, which falls under the guiding vision of uniting the district for one common cause, will take place on the morning of Saturday, March 24, 2018. Past events have raised more than $30,000.

Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. and the race begins at 9 a.m. Additional parking will be available at Mepham high School, where shuttle buses will be provided to/from the race site. 

The run/walk will begin and end at Grand Avenue Middle School with a pass-through Merrick Avenue Middle School. Affected streets along the route include: right out of Grand’s front entrance onto Grand Avenue (Grand quickly turns into Smith Street), right on to Hewlett Avenue, left onto Margaret Boulevard, right onto Merrick Avenue, left into MAMS, MAMS out to Frederick Street, right on to Nassau Street, right on to Horatio Avenue, right on to Merrick Avenue, left on to Woodland Terrace, right on to Hewlett Avenue, left on to Nancy Boulevard, right on to Park Avenue, left on to Helene Avenue, right on to Bellewood Drive and a left on to Grand Avenue and back into school.
