Student representatives from the four high schools that comprise the Central High School District addressed the board of education and administrators at the Oct. 3 meeting, updating the community on their respective building events.

Students boasted about school news and student achievements, while offering personal anecdotes and quips in each round up. They will continue to serve as a board liaison throughout the school year at future board meetings.

Reporting from the dais each month will be Matthew Alexander from the Meadowbrook Alternative Program, Gabriela Daza from Mepham High School, Jonathan Mashal from Kennedy High School and Juliana Turino from Calhoun High School.

“This is the portion of our monthly meetings that I always look forward to,” said John DeTommaso, superintendent of schools. “It’s great for us to hear their perspectives on student life.”
