The Kennedy High School boys volleyball team, recently named Long Island and New York State champions, were honored at the Dec. 5 board of education meeting for their accomplishments.
“You will have that experience forever,” John DeTommaso, superintendent of schools said when he addressed the team and their parents at the Dec. 5 board meeting.
On Dec. 7, Hempstead Town Councilwoman Erin King Sweeney and Receiver of Taxes Donald Clavin delivered an official sign, marking their championship wins.
“Donald Clavin and I are glad to present this commemorative plaque, recognizing your hard work and dedication on the volleyball court,” King Sweeney told the team.
