Student representatives from the four high schools that comprise the Central High School District addressed the board of education and administrators at the Oct. 2 meeting, updating the community on their respective building events.
Students boasted about school news and student achievements, while offering personal anecdotes and quips in each round up. They will continue to serve as a board liaison at board meetings throughout the school year.
Reporting from the dais each month will be Gabriella Giobardo of Calhoun, Daniel Iskols of Kennedy, Mariana Mora of the Meadowbrook Alternative Program and Stephanie Simone of Mepham High School.
“It’s always one of my favorite portions of our monthly meetings to hear happenings from around our district, but through their perspective,” said John DeTommaso, superintendent of schools.
