On Nov. 19, Student Ambassadors from around the Central High School District gathered at Brookside to pack 75 Thanksgiving baskets for local families in need.

Students in the Mepham High School Leo Club, led by advisor Josephine Parlagreco, made pies. Carly Gould from Grand Avenue Middle and students made corn bread. Lisa Loonie, a special education teacher from Calhoun High School, and students packaged bags. Mepham High School social studies teacher Jackie Geller and students decorated place mats.

“I cannot say enough about how hard the kids were working,” said Deputy Superintendent Dr. Mara Bollettieri.
