Bienvenue! Benvenuti! ¡Bienvenidos!
Welcome to the Sanford H. Calhoun Department of World Languages Webpage!
The Department of World Languages has the unique and important responsibility of teaching students to become active global citizens. Our teachers bring a wealth of personal experience and knowledge to their students, providing them with a well-rounded perspective of other languages and cultures.
The Department of World Languages is dedicated to helping students acquire a second and possibly a third language, while also instilling in them an appreciation for other cultures. The department firmly believes that our 21st century learners must possess strong language skills and a well-developed understanding of other cultures to be successful participants in our increasingly closer global community.

making periods. Eligible students must be 10th or 11th graders and earn
an average of 90 or above for each of the four marking periods. For
students to maintain their eligibility for induction in the fall, they
