Craig Papach, the athletic director and coach at Kennedy High School in the Bellmore-Merrick Central School District, earned his 200th win May 16 as the boys varsity lacrosse coach.
Even better was the win came in a 9-8 overtime victory versus Jericho High School to send the Cougars into the playoffs.
Eric Caballero, the district director of athletics, health, physical education, driver education & nurses, said, “you would be hard pressed to find another individual more qualified to earn this accolade.”
“He bleeds all things Kennedy and is a true ambassador for the sport of lacrosse. He’s touched the lives of so many student-athletes and I’m extremely proud of his accomplishment,” Caballero continued.
