Back by popular demand, the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District will once again be hosting the District Vocal Music Showcase featuring its five premiere choral groups.

This special, one night only event will include performances by PULSE (Calhoun HS), JFK VOICES (Kennedy High School), MEPHACAPELLA (Mepham High School), GRAND VOICES (Grand Avenue Middle School) and WORD OF MOUTH (Merrick Avenue Middle School). The evening will conclude with a combined finale in which students from our elementary component districts will be invited up to sing with the upper classmen.

“We are so excited to once again provide the unique opportunity for our choral students to come together and showcase their work collectively, both for each other and the members of the Bellmore-Merrick communities. This has become a real highlight of our music department in past years as events like this truly reflect the ‘One Voice, One Message’ theme that resonates throughout our District,” said Cheryl Fontana, the District’s Director of the Fine & Performing Arts.

The live event will take place at Calhoun High School, 1786 State St., Merrick on Monday, November 21 at 7p.m. While admission is free and open to the public, the Music Department will be collecting donations for the BMCHSD food pantry, The Community Cupboard.
