The National PTA has a long-standing commitment to the arts in education. The Reflections program was founded by Mary Lou Anderson in 1969 and provides students an opportunity for recognition and access to the arts. Students have been creating original works of art of their own Reflections expressing their hopes, their feelings, and their worlds. Students reflect on a theme and create original works of art in the areas of Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography or the Visual Arts. This year's Reflections theme was “Show Your Voice.” At the April PTA meeting, Jake Schwartz, Natalie Caba , Aiden Giangrande, Alishba Javaid, Reina Lin, and Sophia Atela were recognized for their creative works.
