2016 NYSHIP Dependent
Eligibility Verification Audit
The New York Health Insurance Program (NYSHIP) is conducting a Dependent
Eligibility Verification Audit. Health Management Systems, Inc. (HMS)
has been contracted to administer this audit. During this audit
enrollees are required to submit documentation to verify the eligibility
of each of their dependents covered under NYSHIP as of January 1, 2016.
YOU MUST SUBMIT PROOF OF THEIR ELIGIBLITY TO Health Management
Systems, Inc. (HMS) SO THAT IT IS RECEIVED BY APRIL 15, 2016.
Dependents not included in the 2016 Dependent Eligibility Verification Audit are:
* Dependent children who were verified in the 2009 Audit
* Dependent Survivors
* Dependent children covered under a National Medical Support Order (NMSO)
* Dependents removed during 2016 Amnesty Period
HMS has created an online web portal www.verifyOS.com.
Through this online web portal, enrollees can check their status,
upload verification documents, and link to resources that will help
enrollees obtain the required documentation.
