High School Scheduling and Applications

In order for the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District to meet the needs and interests of diverse learners and to encourage career exploration, we have developed three specialty programs housed across the district. A student can apply to any program, regardless of what their zoned high school is. Students should note that once they commit to a specialty program, they must continue with that program for the entirety of the year. There is an application process for each one of the programs, interviews, and for On Tour, an audition process. These specialty programs are a four year commitment and will have classes that meet every day.

There will be a high school programming night on December 3, 2019 at your child's zoned high school.

All 8th grade students will be introduced to specialty programs at an assembly on December 16, 2019. Please see below for site visits for students and families to learn more about each program at the high school location:

12/17 - Bellmore-Merrick Broadcasting Program Site Visit @ Mepham
12/18 - CHAMP Site Visit @ John F. Kennedy
12/19 - On Tour Program Site Visit @ Calhoun

All applications are due by January 8, 2020.
