Mepham Hosts Trick-or-Treating Event for Elementary Students

Mepham High School was filled with festive fun and community spirit on Oct. 30 during its annual Safe Halloween celebration, welcoming elementary-age students and their families for an afternoon of seasonal activities in one of the school’s gyms.
The event was organized by the Student Government Association, which is advised by Jacqueline Geller and featured participation from numerous high school clubs and organizations, each hosting themed tables with arts and crafts, games, and other hands-on activities designed for the younger crowd. Students came together to create a memorable experience for local children while embracing the spirit of giving back.
All proceeds from the event’s admission fees benefited the district’s Community Cupboard, a food pantry that supports local families in need.
“The Safe Halloween celebration continues to be a highlight of the fall season, showcasing the district’s commitment to fostering community engagement, student leadership, and service learning—all while giving children a fun and safe way to enjoy Halloween,” noted Geller, event organizer.
