Across the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District, middle and high school communities came together to remember September 11, 2001, honor the lives lost, and recognize the courage and service that followed.

Five students in the Central High School District have been recognized as National Merit Semifinalists, and 14 additional individuals have been named Commended Students in the prestigious 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Three students from the Central High School District have been selected to participate in the prestigious NYSSMA All-State Music Festival, representing the district among the top student musicians from across New York State.

Students at Wellington C. Mepham High School rotated through four fun and engaging stations as part of a schoolwide celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

Sophia Rose Lancer, a senior at Kennedy High School, has published "The Road Between Two Homes: A Workbook for Kids When Their Family Changes," an interactive resource designed to help children navigating parental separation and life between two households.

Dylan Siegel, a current sophomore at Kennedy High School, has won the district-wide STEAM Logo Design Competition.

The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District is proud to announce that 767 students have been recognized by the College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars Program for demonstrating exceptional college-level achievement through their performance on AP exams.
