On Saturday, April 2 the Calhoun girl’s lacrosse team hosted its first annual youth clinic for players in the community.
Girls in grades 2-7 participated in lacrosse skill specific drills that were run and coached by current Calhoun varsity and junior varsity players.
“This clinic was an opportunity to grow and spread our love for the game amongst the youth in the Bellmores and Merricks,” explained Coach Melissa Rohr. “It was a day filled with smiles and lacrosse. The high school players loved mentoring the youth players and recognize the importance of community involvement in high school athletics. We are very fortunate to have a supportive base in the community and will look to continue to provide mentorship opportunities through lacrosse this season.”
