On Oct. 24, the CHSD district-wide club, Family Project celebrated together at their annual Halloween Dance at Merrick Avenue Middle School.

“Students danced the night away thanks to DJ Zinke, who graciously volunteered to provide the music for the event,” said one of the coordinators/special education teacher, Lauren Beinert. The MAMS gym was adorned with spooky Halloween balloons, decorations and a large banner constructed by the students of Family Project the weeks prior.”

Halloween activities included coloring Halloween pictures, guessing the number of candy corn, and goody bags on their way out.

“Our students had a blast and we are looking forward to the next few weeks of Family Project to close out our winter season,” added Barbara Kubler, a coordinators/special education. “A special thank you to all of the volunteer students and adults who made this happen.”
