Merrick Avenue seventh grader Matthew Pantaleev was named the Merrick Avenue Middle School Geography Bee champion on Jan. 5. Seventh grader Anthony Petrocelli was the second place winner. Dylan Garcia, Evan Garcia, Owen Kam, Matthew Pantaleev, Anthony Petrocelli, and Brody Tepfer were the top six finalists.
