Kennedy to Host STEAM Career Fair

Kennedy High School science department hosts an engaging and interactive STEAM Career Fair on Tuesday, April 16, from 6-8 p.m.

Students, families, and community members are invited to attend and learn from local STEAM professionals, experts, and professors will share their experience and expertise. Students can also learn about future college and career opportunities in science technology, engineering, art and mathematics.

There will be more than 50 presenters from careers, university programs and local STEAM organization including: medicine, allied heath, physical therapy, pharmacy, genetic counseling, first responders, computer science, coding, software design, engineering, oceanography, veterinary science, nutrition, acupuncture, chiropractic medicine, computer networking, neuromonitoring, oncology, graphic design, art, photography, manufacturing, aviation, cyber security and more.

The STEAM Career Fair will also highlight the district’s coding, eSports, and VEX Robotics programs by holding an in-district scrimmage among the Bellmore Merrick VEX Robotics teams.

The Career Fair will follow the annual Medical Scrabble Tournament Science Club fundraiser which begins at 5:15 p.m.
