Bellmore-Merrick Holds Annual Poster Contest

The Department of World Languages held its annual poster contest during World Language Week. There were many beautiful entries for this year's theme "The Magic of Language". Congratulations to our high school and middle school winners! Congratulations to the poster winners from each of the buildings.

Calhoun High School:
First Place: Joseph Solorzano-Ruiz
Second Place: Madeline Maione
Third Place: Grace Maraglio

John F. Kennedy High School:
First Place: Daniella Tejada, Ms. Fiorentino
Second Place: Noelle Ressa, Ms. Alfieri
Third Place: Jonathan Salerno, Ms. Alfieri

Mepham High School:
First Place: Leah Terra
Second Place: Emma Stamm
Third Place: Leah Weerth

Grand Avenue Middle School:
First Place: Iris Su
Second Place: Isabel Ziegler
Third Place: Arianna Bautista

Merrick Avenue Middle School:
First Place: Brianna Barreno
Second Place: Ryan Wexler
Third Place: Kyle Locasto

The top three winners from each school moved on to the district-level contest at Brookside where staff and visitors voted for their favorite entry. Congratulations to this year's district winners!

High School:

Middle School:
First Place: Brianna Barreno, Merrick Avenue MS
