CHSD to Host Early College Planning Night
The Central High School District is excited to introduce 9/10 Early College Planning Night on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. at Calhoun High School.
All freshmen and sophomore students and their families are invited to learn about the early stages of the post-secondary planning process.
This program replaces the former 9th Grade Fall Guidance Night. The evening will feature Dr. John Durante, principal of Syosset High School and creator of the College Admissions Process Podcast.
Having spoken with admissions professionals from more than 350 colleges and universities, Dr. Durante will share insight into what colleges are looking for today and how students and families can thoughtfully approach the freshman and sophomore years.
Members of the CHSD counseling team will also be available to answer questions and provide guidance.
