GAMS Science Research Students Compete at Science Fair

Seven teams from Grand Avenue Middle School's Science Research Program competed in the South Asian American Women’s Alliance (SAAWA) Science Fair at Levittown Hall.
Two teams tied for third place in the Biology category: Sean Dietrich earned recognition for his project, "Depth vs. Origin: Which Has a Greater Effect on the Growth of a Cassotrea virginica Oyster?" Thomas d’Alessandro, Dhrubojeet Das, and Dagur Moi also received third place honors for their collaborative project, "How Does pH Affect Brassica rapa Found in Local Soil Compared to a Simulation of Southwest London?"
Additionally, Ash Katz and Elizabeth O'Toole received an Honorable Mention in the Biology category for their project, "Does Low-Level Light Therapy Help Planaria Regenerate Successfully Compared to Aloe vera?"
All students conducted their research under the guidance of science teacher, Tami Cruz.
