CHSD Celebrates 731 Students Recognized by AP Scholars Program

The Central High School District is proud to celebrate the academic accomplishments of 731 students who have been recognized by the College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars Program for their exceptional performance on AP exams.
The AP Scholars Program honors high school students who demonstrate college-level achievement through their exam results. Awards are given at three levels:
-
AP Scholar – granted to students who scored 3 or higher on three or more AP exams.
-
AP Scholar with Honor – awarded to students who earned an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more exams.
-
AP Scholar with Distinction – the highest honor, presented to students who achieved an average score of at least 3.5 and scored 3 or higher on five or more exams.
Among the 731 students honored:
-
263 were named AP Scholars
-
169 earned the title AP Scholar with Honor
-
299 achieved the prestigious distinction of AP Scholar with Distinction
In addition to these achievements, 59 students earned the AP Capstone Diploma, and 24 students received the AP Seminar and Research Certificate, recognizing their success in the College Board’s rigorous Capstone program focused on research, analysis, and presentation skills.
“The district congratulates all recognized students, their families, and our dedicated educators who supported them,” noted Scott Bersin, assistant superintendent for curriculum. “This remarkable accomplishment reflects the commitment to academic excellence that defines our school community.”
