Calhoun Homecoming: Tradition, Teamwork, and Celebration

Calhoun High School celebrated a vibrant and spirited Homecoming weekend, highlighted by a decisive 35–12 win over Roosevelt High School during the football game on Sept. 20.
The week-long celebration featured cherished annual traditions, including hallway decorating, a pep rally, the highly anticipated Colt Fest, and a festive Homecoming dance.
Halftime festivities energized the crowd, with standout performances by the Calhoun Rock Band—led by Ed Tumminelli, delivering powerful musical interludes and a show-stopping halftime set. The kickline and cheerleading squads also took to the field, showcasing school pride and talent. The Booster Club, a parent-led support organization, unveiled The Shack, a newly renovated snack stand offering refreshments for fans.
Homecoming concluded with the crowning of seniors Jacob and Ryan as Homecoming King and Queen, respectively, marking a joyful end to a memorable week celebrating school spirit and tradition.
