Kennedy’s Makayla Bowman Named Semifinalist in Coca-Cola Scholars Program

Makayla Bowman, a Kennedy High School senior, has been named a semifinalist in the 2026 Coca-Cola Scholars Program.
She is one of 1,200 students nationwide invited to participate in the next round of the competition. In late January, 150 of those applicants will be identified as Coca-Cola Scholars.
Makayla was chosen from more than 107,000 applicants nationwide in the competition, which evaluates students on community and leadership skills, academic achievements, and service.
Way to go, Makayla! She is a member of the school’s Leadership Program and Drama Club, and she is also the treasurer of her BBYO chapter.
