The students in the Calhoun World of Difference Club host several events throughout the school year. On April 2nd they hosted a digital Light It Up Blue event to raise awareness for autism. "Autism does not define a person," said freshman member, Neda Farhangian. World of Difference hopes that by raising awareness they can help to promote acceptance, inclusivity, and celebrate the differences of all students. Senior member Haley Yegidis said, "I love World of Difference because we get to plan events for the best and most caring kids in the school." The prevalence of autism in the United States has risen from 1 in 125 children in 2010 to 1 in 59 in 2020 so, now more than ever, it is necessary that all students be educated on the uniqueness of all individuals. Thank you to those who celebrated with us! #bringonthebluefromhome
