Sixty student volunteers from across the district packaged Thanksgiving baskets for 125 families who utilize the Dr. Mara Bolletieri Community Cupboard.
Each school was assigned items to bring in for donating.
The Mepham LEO Club also baked pies for the baskets. The Student Government at Kennedy collected $5,000 in donations and shopped for the food drive as well. Calhoun hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for community members on Nov. 18.
