Five educators from Bellmore-Merrick have been recognized by the Harvard Club of Long Island.

The Varsity Kickline teams from Sanford H. Calhoun, John F. Kennedy, and Wellington C. Mepham High Schools proudly represented the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District at the NDA High School National Championship in Orlando, Florida from Feb. 14-16.

Calhoun High School unveiled its long-anticipated “You Are Not Alone” mural, a meaningful project organized and supported by the schools’ PTSA designed to promote mental health awareness and reinforce the message of connection and support within the school community on Feb. 13.

Calhoun senior Reese Adams, who was crowned Nassau County Girls Wrestling Champion in the 126-pound weight class on Feb. 1. Reese also earned the Marcia Gould Most Outstanding Wrestler Award, a special honor named after a Calhoun alum.
